Trades

  • Adding trades individually

Q: Is it possible to add trades one-by-one? A: This is the recommended approach to log/disclose trades to Ecosystem Marketplace (see the green button "+Submit New Trade" in the Trades tab). This will bring up an easy-to-navigate screen that expands for additional metrics based upon the responses you provide, therefore only displaying to you the necessary (and in some cases bonus) metrics. For example, a different set of questions appears if you select that you've sold to an End User vs an Intermediary.
  • Bulk Upload Trades with XLSX or CSV

Q: Can I bulk upload trades using a spreadsheet?
A: Yes! If you have a large number of trades to log/disclose and you prefer to do it all at once, you're welcome to upload a spreadsheet (see the green button "Upload Trade File" in the Trades tab). You'll be prompted to either upload a spreadsheet, which can be either your own template or you can download the EM Trade Reporting Template, which you can complete offline and then upload through this process. NOTE: After you've uploaded trades via this process, you'll be able to review and edit each trade through the "Trades" screen by clicking the pencil icon to the right of the trade.
  • Editing/Deleting a Trade

Q: I’d like to edit a previously disclosed trade, can I do this?
A: Absolutely! If the trade was disclosed to Ecosystem Marketplace less than 2 weeks ago, you can delete it by clicking the garbage can icon. If the trade is older, we have locked the free ability to delete to safeguard against accidental deletion of one’s data. Editing trades is possible for all trades, regardless of when they were disclosed (in other words, the two week timeframe for deleting trades doesnt apply here).
  • Setting up an API to Disclose Trades

Q: Is it possible to set up an API with the EM Global Carbon Markets Hub?
A: The EM Products Team is currently requesting EM Respondents who are interested in disclosing data via API to contact [email protected]. We aim to begin piloting an API in Q1 2023.
  • Project ID Format for Reporting Trades

Q: How do I format my spreadsheet for Project IDs so that related data fields (e.g., Standard, Country, SDGs, Co-benefits Certifications, etc) are pulled automatically?
A: You'll need to make sure to include the Project ID acronym in front of the number: ACR = American Carbon Registry CAR = Climate Action Reserve CSA = Canadian Standards Association CDM = Clean Development Mechanism CDM-PoA = Clean Development Mechanism Program of Activities ECOR = Ecoregistry GCC = Global Carbon Council GS = Gold Standard PC = UK Peatland Code PV = Plan Vivo Foundation PV-ACORN = Acorn (Agroforestry CRUs for the Organic Restoration of Nature) PE = Puro Earth VCS = Verified Carbon Standard WCC = UK Woodland Carbon Code * if any codes are missing, let us know and we'll update this list as needed
